In order to build a trustworthy relationship with your Maid service. It is important to have an open line of communication.  We are a very honest house cleaning company and we encorage to ask questions. This is our frequently asked questions.

Who hires a cleaning service and why?

We clean many homes in New York. Our clients are as varied as their homes! Here is a snap shot of who our clients are and why they need us:

What do you clean on a First Time Cleaning Or Recurrent Service? Can you bring same cleaner?

 We cannot guarantee the same cleaner all the time, but we can guarantee that the work is done to the standard of the company and location owner.

Kitchen

  •     Clean Stove Hood “with grease is add’l”
  •     Clean outside/on top of refrigerator if       possible
  •     Clean outside and polish of all major  appliances
  •     Clean outside of microwave
  •     Clean /shine counter tops
  •     Clean top of stove top and burners “with grease is add’l”
  •     Clean exterior of stove
  •     Spot clean outside of cabinets
  •     Clean and polish sink & faucet
  •     Vacuum all kitchen rugs
  •     Remove cob webs and dust all horizontal surfaces.

 Living Areas/ Dining Room

  •     Remove cob webs & dust from ceiling fans
  •     Clean only one sliding glass doors and hand wiped tracks
  •     Dust/clean all Tv’s if possible.
  •     Clean all glass & mirrors
  •     Vacuum carpet/rugs
  •     Vacuum and mop under furniture
  •     Sweep/Vacuum/Mop tile/ vacuum stairway (if applicable)
  •     Vacuum/Dust mop/Damp Mop wood floors
  •     Dust all horizontal surfaces (high/low)

Bedrooms

  • Make up to 3 beds provide new sheets if you want bed changed
  • Vacuum and mop under beds & furniture
  • Clean all mirrors
  • Polish all Dressers
  • Remove cobwebs, & dust from ceiling fans
  • Dust all horizontal surfaces
  • Vacuum/Mop tile
  • Vacuum carpet/rugs
  • Empty Trash

How do I pay for the cleaning and How Much do you charge?

First time cleanings are usually more than recurrent service, as we have to bring house to our specific standard of service. Even if you had a cleaning service in the past, we do not know how well you cleaner used to clean.

 

If you are a first time customer, we require a deposit to hold a spot on our schedule, Payment is expected before your cleaning service or by mid cleaning. A check or cash may be left for the cleaners to pick up while they are at your home. All major credit cards are accepted. No checks are accepted on first time cleanings.

 

We charge by the type of home you have. In some cases we may charge by the hour or square footage of the location, this can be anywhere from 65-150 an hour for 2-3 cleaning staff. However we prefer by the job as this allows unlimited time to complete what you need done.

Do you offer a set time?

Unfortunately no. We can only give you a window of arrival.

What if my cleaning falls on a holiday?

Usually your cleaning will be scheduled for the following day. If you are traveling for the holidays you may want to skip service. If you know you will not need cleaning during a holiday, or know you have family coming to town and need to reschedule, please call ahead of time, and will do our best to accommodate. Please be aware that if you skip your cleaning, because you will not be home. Your cleaning fee will change.

How do you price the cost of my cleaning?

Several factors enter into pricing, such as the size and condition of your home, and how often you would like to have your home cleaned. Our preference is to come to your home to do a free estimate. This allows us to talk with you and find out your expectations.

Will I need to supply anything?

RKleen LI LLC Cleaning Service brings all their supplies and equipment. We prefer to use our own supplies because of the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), which are required for each product we use. These sheets give our employees the necessary safety information required for the use of each product. However, if you prefer that we use your vacuum, or central vac system we are more than happy to do so.

Must I be home while you are there cleaning?

It is entirely up to you if you prefer to be home. Most of our customers provide us access to their home while they are at work or out doing errands. Some let us in before they leave and others provide us with a key, garage door opener, or a code. All keys in our possession are marked with a number only, so the home address, etc., is not physically associated with the key unless the homeowner attaches it.

What if I forget the cleaners are scheduled and they are not able to get in?

What if something gets damaged in my home?

Our cleaners are instructed to treat our customer’s belongings with care and respect, however, accidents do happen. If this should occur while we are in your home, we will contact you. We also ask that you contact the office as soon as possible regarding replacement or refund.
